People’s Choice Awards 2013 – Recap Mentionables

#FF …Finally Friday!!

Thought I’d recap some of my favorite (& some not so favorite) mentionable red carpet fashion looks from the 39th annual People’s Choice Awards 2013!! The awards were held at the Nokia theatre in sunny Los Angeles, California.

I will be looking at attire worn by everyone from actresses & actors, to new breakout artists, to entrepreneurs, and more celebrities that attended that night.

Which were your favorites??

Kaley Cuoco

Looking absolutely pretty in this blush (pale pink) dress with a touch of dainty delicacy from the sheer designs on the chiffon. The dress was by Christian Siriano, we remember American fashion designer Siriano from Project Runway a few years ago! Beautiful.

Lea Michele

I don’t know about you, but while I think Lea normally has good fashion sense, I’m not really into this dress she chose… what about you? For me it’s a little too much lace & sequin… whaaat?! Too much lace & sequin?!  Yes…Lace & sequins are always either a hit or miss, in this case, I think it was a miss… simply all in the wrong places for me.  I’ve liked other Elie Saab dresses but not so much this one.

Rachel Leigh Cook

I absolutely love this color and the Oliver Tolentino gown, she looks stunning. This is a asymmetrical gown with a slightly longer tail giving it that red carpet fancy appeal.  Paired nicely with a peacock reminiscent clutch, Rachel has a glam look while keeping youthful & fun with the accessories & hair.

2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards – Red Carpet

These were amongst the few celebrities that were simply ravishing for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) at the Shine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California yesterday.

Trending Looks:

We saw many of the ladies wearing everything elegant from long form-fitting gowns, to sheer, lacy, embellished intriguing gowns, to beautiful draping flowing gowns ranging from all colors of the spectrum. Three trending colors I noticed were definitely the ivories/creams/&whites, the ever classic color black, as well as daring ruby & scarlet reds. For the men, we saw them dressed in dapper suits topped off with either skinny ties or bow ties.

The hair styles we saw were many sophisticated up-do’s but also mainly consisted of beautiful wavy tresses.

Makeup for the most part was ket low-key, neutral, & elegant… we didn’t see many crazy or extravagant makeup looks here, which is a good thing since the latter wouldn’t be appropriate for this event.

Which were your favorite looks of the night??

This will be my last post from behind-the scenes covering Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim Miami 2012. It was such an amazing and fun experience. Both the models, designers, backstage managers–everyone– were incredibly friendly.

If anyone I’ve met there miraculously happens to be reading this right now, THANK YOU! Everyone was amazing & I can’t wait for the next time we’ll meet again.

All the swim apparel from Diesel, White Sands Australia, Poko Pano, Beach Bunny, Crystal Jin, L*Space by Monica Wise, Wildfox Swim, Caffé Swimwear, Dolores Cortés, Mara Hoffman, Aqua Di Lara, A.Ché, Norma Kamali, Red Carter, CIA.Martima, Luli Fame, LUXE by Lisa Vogel, Lisa Blue, DiNelia Brazil, A.Z Arujo, Aguaclara, Aquarella, Have Faith Swimwear, Kooey Swimwear Australia, Nicolita, Sonia Vera Swimwear, Jogo Beach, Perfect Tan Bikini, Tavik, & Zingara… were all absolutely stunning. It was torture seeing all the new swimwear and not being able to wear them myself just yet. I would’ve loved to be caught in any of their looks, especially in beautiful South Beach Miami.
