Sonia Kashuk Bronzer

I’m normally not really into wearing bronzers on my face unless a professional MUA applies it, but this summer I picked up a Sonia Kashuk’s Bare Minimum Pressed Bronzer (in Golden) which was just what I’ve was looking for… A bronzer that’s both affordable & effortless. Bought mine from Target for about $10.

What drew my eyes to this bronzer at first beside the beautiful golden color, had to be the packaging. Just look at it! At Target when all the cosmetics begin to look the same in every isle, this one stood out to me.

…Ok so maybe it was mainly because there’s a big golden letter “S”… naturally it’s my favorite part of the design! It’s my initial too! (;

My bronzer above no longer has the “Sonia Kashuk” watermark everywhere inside the letter S anymore since I’ve been using it, but you can see how it used to look at the very beginning in the picture below with the other packaging this same exact bronzer comes in.

This weightless formula glides on effortlessly: delivering an even sun-kissed glow with a true golden shade that works on every skin tone. When I apply bronzer, it’s best to apply it where the sun would naturally touch, this ensures for a more natural & radiant bronze glow.

First, I begin by making the classic fish face.

Next, using my mini kabuki brush, I swipe the bronzer 2-3 times in the indent just under the cheek bone. I apply about a 1/2 inch away from my mouth all the way up near the ear. 

Then, I will go back & swirl my brush (twice) into the product and with a swiping motion I create the number 3 on both sides of my face like so… (I went ahead & made a visual in blue of where I normally bronze.)

Ultimately you will have more definition under the cheekbones which will accentuate them, while the rest has a more subtle glow.

You can see it looks like the #3. The line down the nose/forehead is recommended as well but I sometimes skip it. The area under the cheekbones should be the most defined & accentuated.

Side Notes to Remember:

* Don’t forget to go all the way with the #3 to your chin on both sides meeting in the center.

* And lastly don’t forget to also swipe some bronzer on your neck so you won’t get the face-neck mismatch look going on. [Careful when wearing white shirts.]

This is a great daytime, everyday, & school/work bronzer since it gives you enough definition & color without being too overbearing and harsh…especially outside in the daylight when makeup looks best when it’s kept a bit low-key.

I only have two bronzers in my entire makeup collection, and this has to be my favorite simply because I can wear it everyday and it gives you that natural sun-kissed glow. Summer isn’t over yet, so I be using this one for a while still…and more than likely even once Fall get here!
