Dressing up for New Years Eve can be so much fun! Ring in the sparkles & glitter! Let’s celebrate!
It’s time to shine!
Well, one big trend right now is everything sparkly & glittery — from dresses, to accessories, shoes, nails, and even lips!
Here are a few tips I hope will help you when selecting your fabulous 2012 New Years Eve look! (;
Well, truth is, sometimes “going all out”, can be a bit too much… how you say? As much as everyone knows I love my sparkle & glitter, I too admit there is a fine line that shouldn’t be crossed if it’s to be worn in real life off the fabulous fashion runways. I mentioned how it’s on everything from dresses, to accessories, shoes, nails, all fine and dandy to glam up, but the one area I really think we shouldn’t see with glitter on anyone, is the lips. While all that sparkle may look fab in photos and runway, in reality, who wants to be eating glitter and rhinestones?? That does not sound very appealing. So save that one for a photo shoot where you won’t be doing so much talking or eating.
Nonetheless, if you must try this sparkly lip trend out, which honestly I may even try myself sometime, instead try a more subtle yet still shiny & shimmery lip!
Maybelline Coral Lustre lipstick w/ DiorKiss lipgloss in Granny Smith
You can even go nude!…nude lips that is! Try Jennifer Lopez’s
or Megan Fox’s look…
If you feel you must include glitter in your makeup, another trend to try out this New Years instead of shimmering & glittering on the lips so much, try it your eyes…
You can go from subtle shimmer to going all out on on the glitter for this look…
but don’t forget to keep your attire in mind when doing you makeup.
another look that never goes out of style to try, is going smoky-eyed like Angelina Jolie…
or even try out Kim Kardashian makeup look here… both sultry & vibrant…
try a slightly toned down yet very elegant take like Rosario Dawson…
opt for a stunning red lip & voluminous lashes like VS model Adriana Lima…

Whichever look you choose, the number one must/icing on the cake, or in this case, in my personal opinion what will complete the makeup look, is lots & lots of volumptuous flirty lashes. If you’re like me and you’re not really into wearing falsies, I definitely recommend going for Benefit’s They’re Real mascara.
For the nails, you can definitely go all out with the shimmer & glitter. So many ways to do this one. The trend: Ombré <3
For hair, why not try the new hair trend of 2012! A sleek yet bouncy pony! Pair it up with either a simple ponytail holder or if you’re feeling bold, go for a sparkly studded rhinestone kind, and you’ll be good to go, easy as that.
Or maybe you’re like me, and you really like to wear you’re hair down, try these hot looks!
Have short hair? Try a mod bob…
Messy bun & waterfall braids…
Or sleek & straight…
Here are an array of some fashion looks I’ve put together that I think will look fabulous on people as they celebrate the end of 2011, and say hello to 2012…. Enjoy!
